I just wanna take a moment to put the hot-crazy matrix to good use here. Especially in regards to Kim Yo Jong, Dear Leader's psycho sister. This woman has a little something going for her, but is crazy and dangerous. I know some guys like that challenge. Maybe some lucky guy can get a little in-n-out before she calls the firing squad.

She totally like one of these crazy borderline personality disorder girlfriends, whose absolutely wild and amazing in bed, but then will be stalking you the next day as you travel to work, and will send you valentine's gifts in the mail with real pig hearts inside.

Definitely 10 times scarier than Kim Jong Un.

Watch this video staring at minute 16:15 as she follows her brother around as he meets the south Korean president.
She is the figure just above the red carpet walking on the black tarmac wearing a grey suit and carrying her purse, who is following the 2 leaders like some crazy stalker.

I stumbled onto this documentary and it gives interesting insights on how the average North Korean live their day to day lives. The filmmaker shadows around individual Soldiers, Teachers, Photographers, Government Workers, Farmers etc and interviews them. Their behaviors remind me of Chinese Mainlanders with zero exposure to the Western world.

Daily Life in North Korea - "My Brothers and Sisters in the North"

Award-winning documentary filmmaker Sung-Hyung Cho was the first South Korean filmmaker to ever receive an official permit to film in North Korea. Traveling the country, she accompanies ordinary people during their everyday life and work routines, talking to them about their hopes and dreams. The resulting film ventures beyond the usual clichés and portrays the country and its people in a unique and respectful way.

Growing up in South Korea, Cho was taught in school that her Northern neighbors had red skin and two horns on their heads. With her film, she took the chance to bid farewell to her prejudices and revise her preconceived image of people in North Korea.

Very interesting video! This really does give a rare slice of life view of NK.

I skipped through this to watch a little here and there. In many ways their lifestyle seems simple and down to Earth, in a good way. However, I saw in several of the places where I stopped that they were singing or talking about Marshall Kim Young Un in a way similar to how church hymns talk about God. I saw little children singing songs like this, and a group of young women on stage were singing songs like this to an audience who were clapping along. In another segment at a factory, the workers were sitting together for an employee meeting, and the leader was reading revolutionary material about how Marshall Young Un encourages us all to be Riders of the Horse of Revolution. This kind of thing is apparently pervasive in everybody's lives.

The cultural homogeneity is good, but the cult of personality around the leader is bad. These people need to come to Jesus.

If you consider their history - they had to go through slavery conditions from the Japanese Empire including WW2 and then being bombed to smithereens during the Korean War. Curtisu LeMay said to have be able to kill off 20% of their population? The only thing we can imagine thats comparable to those conditions is Palestine right now. To have a 3 generation of 1 family lead them out of hell is no small feat after almost a century of hardship and its still not over yet.

I did read somewhere (either in this thread or another in this board) that they have an Orthodox Church though.

In the 1960s and 1970s North Korea actually had higher literacy rates than the south.
