36 Chambers Of Fertilizer

Anyone who has lived in cities like NYC, Chicago, LA, SF, Philly etc knows someone who has been mugged, if he wasn't mugged himself. And you are constantly accosted by mentally deranged, aggressive drugged out street people and homeless. It is not that unheard of to come across crime scenes, including murders, if you live in a big American city and go out at night. Most women would be very apprehensive taking the subway alone late at night coming back from downtown.
I have traveled in those cities, but live in a different top 10 US city that is also very dangerous and I have never been pickpocketed, accosted, or mugged here, but about every third time I rode a bus in Guangzhou someone would try and pick my pocket.

My point is that China is deceptive. People get mugged there for the first time in their life and then forget about it because the mugger came back an hour after knocking them unconscious and helped them over to the ATM to buy their stuff back.

I talked to foreigners over there all the time who were oblivious to the dangers around them and I think they made up over half of the ex-pats who'd lived there more than two years. They report stuff back to the world and make their videos, whatever, saying that China is much better and much safer than it really is.

I’ve also visited all those cities extensively and have never been mugged or knew anyone that was.

A keyboard jockey who's obviously never been to China and instead ad infinitum regurgitates sloptakes from his fav e-daddies substituted with AI generated content calling a China veteran with nearly 15 years on his conto that his 'experience is dated' is peak Westoid wumao hubris.

Pretty sure you have never been to China, otherwise your takes would be a bit less cartoonish. The first time I went there was in the 90s, after a year of Mandarin in college, I would guess several years before anybody on this board had visited there, back when there were more bicycles than cars on Beijing roads. I've also been to Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia/Singapore, Vietnam and Bali.

No serious China veteran could claim that a city like Phoenix that is only 40% White, with its large share of Chicano gangbangers, strung out druggies and 10,000 homeless is safer than any Chinese city.

That really is going to happen, and there will be NO cameras by the ATM to capture that...

You must've been unconscious during the mugging. Don't believe your senses and trust this man on the internet. :alien:

My friend told me that he was walking down the street drunk and got hit over the head by a mugger and knocked unconscious. The mugger then took all his stuff, which was a few hundred RMB in cash, his passport, and his wallet with credit cards.

The mugger waited for him to wake up and then offered to sell him back those things that he couldn't easily turn into cash. They haggled and got the price down to 600 RMB, so my friend and the mugger congenially walked over to some ATM, my friend went in and withdrew some cash, and paid the mugger.

All the ATM cameras saw was a white man walking in and getting some fat stacks as the mugger waited nearby with the passport and wallet with credit cards, drivers license, etc.

This is a true China story and would not surprise people who've actually spent time there.
