There are so many beautiful passages in this. I haven't had the patience to ever listen to the whole thing, but various parts of it are so, so wonderful.

This man(?) criticises Hebert von Karajan (masculine Austrian) and Riccardo Muti (masculine Italian) conducting styles for being too serious and rigid, but praises (gay-jew) Bernstein's theatrical style instead. Care to guess the speaker's nationality? No early-lifing please.
How the strings go through the octaves on between those parts... The master at work. And yes real cannons! Not for the modern snowflake.
The brilliance of Tchaikovsky is that he could do it all.

I've been inspired by this thread to play more tranquil and beautiful pieces like piano sonatas this morning. Yet I needed a pick me up for the afternoon.
So here are a few GOAT instrumental and operatic tracks that are monumental and powerful. Let's go for orchestral arrangements in this case.
Keeping in mind that a few pieces related to this theme have already been posted (like Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries - Die Walküre and Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture), I'll start with three more that build up to something epic:

When the chorus of Ode to Joy hits:

As the climax builds. . .
