Brunei: Relatively high per capita income, no income tax, and very low taxation overall. The country is safe and prosperous, though it has no elections and the Sultan holds supreme authority.
Malaysia: The same party has won every election since 1957, remaining loyal to the Malay sultans. Nevertheless, the country enjoys strong development, modern infrastructure, quality education, and prosperity.
Singapore: Lee Kuan Yew’s party has consistently remained in power, and public protests are prohibited. However, Singapore stands as the most developed country in the region.
Thailand: Disrespecting the king can result in years of imprisonment. Elected prime ministers disliked by the military are often overthrown in coups. Still, the country thrives as an industrial manufacturing hub and a cultural center.
Meanwhile, democratic countries with voting rights for citizens, such as the Philippines, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste, appear as total clown shows lacking serious leadership.
