Roosh update?

I wanted to make a distinction here. These are two separate matters. There is nothing wrong in a third person passing information about someone's fate.

I’m pretty sure he’s a novice in a monastery. Usually novices aren’t supposed to talk to visitors, and it can take years to be tonsured, so it wouldn’t really profit anyone to know specifics.
I doubt this.

Dude is just more likely than not trying to get away from the passions and vanity an Internet and public persona led him to in his late 20s, 30s, and early 40s.

I’m 99% sure, if not a novice then definitely very extended stay.
I doubt he went to a monestary at all. Not sure if you were following his work around 2018 or 2019 when he started the Orthopush... But he was pretty clear while impressed with the monestary lifestyle, wasn't called to stay.

Maybe that's changed ...

I don't know obviously, but I thought when he said those things that he really was interested in monastic life. Sometimes people try to deny they're interested in something when they really are. That's the feeling I got at that time.

Roosh, Babylon Road #12 from September 2019 when he visited St. Herman monastery in Platina, California and spoke to Abbot Damascene and told him his life story. The abbott told Roosh there was a greater than 50% chance of him becoming a monk.

Go to the 9:30 minute mark, which is after he's visited the monastery and is talking about it.

Oh nostalgia hitting hard here. God bless him for whatever road he is on now.

It's been a while since I've seen those videos...but I did attend the tour.

When in Houston before the end of the tour he mentioned that those who go to the monestary and are called by it have a hard time leaving it, he didn't have that same issue from my understanding at the time.

I think he later echoed that on a Roosh hour.

Anyway, definitely wishing him the best and no doubt we're all better off now for having connected with his later content.

He might have said that but it's not always correct. God's calling works in different ways in different people, and I speak from experience here.
Some people need a long period to shed their doubts and discern their true calling and until it matures the proccess is difficult, confusing and ambiguous.

Edit: I don’t like saying things like this unless I’m 100% sure. I could be wrong. There’s publicly available information out there for one to draw their own conclusions. In any case, I wish him the best and may it be blessed, whatever he has chosen.
