I'll be honest, I had trouble with it. The country has become such a joke and laughinstock.Had a great 4th, hope everyone else did as well. Yes, the country is gone, but the ideals live on. Many great things to admire about the founding of America.
How's that going for you with no guns and extreme covid lockdowns? It’s just interesting that with USA so many brave American soldiers had to die in a war for them to get independence and in Australia we just sat and waited until the British gave us independence without a drop of blood being spilled![]()
Yeah the no gun thing sucks. How's that going for you with no guns and extreme covid lockdowns?
Isnt your country a debtors colony?
My point is that it's demonstrating a different type of national culture.Yeah the no gun thing sucks.
As for covid that is already past but even on that front America might have been a little less bad then us but it was still pretty horrible and there were far better countries in the world to be in than USA during covid.
Yes Australia was a prison colony. All different types of prisoners came to Australia from those who stole a loaf of bread due to starvation to those who were imprisoned for not repaying their debts and violent criminals, etc
I am living in a new neighborhood, so that's probably a factor, but I would have expected my new neighborhood to have lots of fireworks like my old ones. However, it was pretty quiet. There were people shooting off mortars a block or two away in 4-5 directions, but none on my street at all.
My whole state has gone blue in the worse way, but I think my neighborhood is a little more purple than most parts of the metro area. It still went for Biden, but only by a small margin, whereas most of the metro area went for Biden by a big margin. If You're living in a liberal neighborhood, this could be their way of protesting. Buddy of mine lives in a liberal town up in New England and he told me that the locals didn't do any celebrating because "muh evil king Trump".
A day after citing a Gallup poll showing collapsing patriotism among Democrats, we didn't have to look far for proof: highly educated Boston leftists proudly proclaiming they're "not proud to be American." Yet, despite their anti-American rhetoric, they still choose to live here. Strange, isn't it?
The Boston Globe—owned by Boston Globe Media Partners and run by John W. Henry, the billionaire owner of the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Sports Group, along with his wife, Linda Pizzuti Henry, the co-owner and CEO—shared a short-form video on Instagram featuring a series of interviews with residents about their patriotic views.
Boston Globe journalists and editors somehow failed to find a single person proud to be an American. In fact, every interviewee was reading a script—authentic, right? Not one of these highly educated locals could speak off the cuff?

"The words "disgusted" and "embarrassed" appeared often, as did criticisms of the Trump administration," the Boston Globe Opinion wrote on its Instagram.
The scripted propaganda (or what appears to be) from the Boston Globe comes as a plunge in national pride has been led mainly by Democrats.

Perhaps the Boston Globe's scripted propaganda (or what appears to be) becomes more understandable when you consider that their CEO is prominently featured on the World Economic Forum's website...

Right.

Reading from scripts—it is no wonder trust in corporate media has collapsed. Nice try, Boston Globe, working-class folks are too smart for this leftist nonsense.
