Widespread Use of Blasphemy In an Atheist Society

One thing that has kept twigging at me over the last few years is blasphemy. If you consume popular media (film, TV, books), in general life, and in online chatter, you are exposed to a constant stream of blasphemy; by people who are, at best, vaguely aware of Christianity. Why is it that people blaspheme so much? It strikes me, as despite the large levels of anti-Christ we can find all around us, people cannot stop invoking God and Jesus, who they generally don't (really) believe in, and may be aggressively against.

Because there is no obvious immediate penalty to it that most people are aware of. It's simple behavioral psychology. We grow up learning if we do something bad there is often an immediate discipline or negative reinforcement to our actions. And if there isn't, we don't learn to not do these things. There is also no imprisonment. You see things in movies (non-Christian obviously) like an immediate lightning bolt strike sort of mocking the idea.

Now most Christians are too afraid to be outspoken against non-Christians committing these acts.

People's first reaction is to curse God as soon as they stub their toe. Late for work? Too much traffic? The store is out of your favorite food? How many immediately blaspheme and defile their tongues? The jewfluence has seeped in deeper than the blood-brain barrier. It was they who taught their own children to use Yeshua, Jesus Christ, His name, ONLY as a curse. They have chutzpah'd this into mainstream media via the movies, tv shows, and books all approved through the jew filters. I have gotten people to tone it down by telling them about the holiness of our tongues, but it will take more than that to reverse the pain we cause God.

I think its because God and Christianity are real, demons and satan are also real so they inspire the Godless to say these words against Christ even if they are not fully aware of what they are actually doing.

In reality there are only 2 religions, 2 forces that exist, God and satan, good and evil, Christianity and everything else.

Because the world is at enmity with God, so it encourages people to blaspheme. I played a game once where the name of the Lord was taken in vain over and over again. I wrote a letter to the developer telling them that they are wrong to use the name of Jesus Christ so flippantly and irreverently. I struggled with scrupulosity for much of my youth, so I take blasphemy very seriously, I thank God that He took it away from me.

Another reason why I have been driven towards Jesus Christ. At some point I realized it was strange that the only faith that the crowd can attack with impunity is Christianity. It's ugly and pitiful. I pray to God for his mercy for these demonically-possessed souls. As Christ Himself said, "forgive them Father, for they know not what they are doing".

“Oh my God” and “Jesus Christ” are basically programmed into people like a computer program.

Another thing, for many people, the idea that God could be offended by “Oh my God” makes as much sense as Michael Jordan being offended at being called a scrub. They picture God as having thick skin.

I've started watching 'The Grand Tour' - the Amazon successor to BBC's Top Gear after Clarkson and Co. Left - and I am staggered by the amount of blasphemy. I don't think I can keep watching, it's so bad. Every time they do it I ask God to forgive them, but it's getting tedious.
