What do you do if you ignore all the red flags and go ahead and marry that person you're so attached to? Elisabeth Leseur, a Catholic French woman born in the late 1800s, accepted a marriage proposal from a man who openly admitted to her that he was Catholic in name only. In fact, he was part of the anti-Catholic movement. He was an atheist.

Elisabeth's atheist husband turned out to be no match for a Christian willing to suffer, a Christian who wanted to sanctify his soul. A God who does not will that anyone should go to hell. In 1923, after her death, her husband became a priest.
