The Trump-Vance Administration

I agree...however putting alex jones there would ensure most of the media would no longer want to attend.
Has the same effect without seeming authoritarian.
Authoritarian?
Nothing of that sort. Journalists would still be allowed to ask questions, but they would have to do it on the same terms as all other citizens. No more special treatment, no more privileges, no more flying the Air force One. I think this would hurt them much more than Alex Jones could.

Trump transitioning one of his two primary campaign managers to chief of staff as opposed to "outsourcing" the job like last time. I think it's a sign that he's planning to elevate people that have already worked for him and had a track record of being faithful to him as opposed to appointing people who he didn't have the same history with.

Last time around he brought two loyalists with him but ousted them in response to pressure from media targeting the guys (Bannon and Michael Flynn) so let's hope Trump has wised up since then.

Loyalty is the key. And it is exactly what made him realized that he made mistakes in his first term when the Establishment pushed out his MAGA loyalists.
