Trump has complained in the past that as senator Marco Rubio hardly ever shows up to vote, so this may be a factor is getting him out of the Senate

Hard to tell who's genuine and who's faking an alliance with Trump/MAGA for self-advancement. At least on the surface though, Patel seems like a decent choice. He's talking the talk; we'll see if he walks the walk.

The U.S State Dept and CIA operation is like a restaurant. The Dept of State is the front of the restaurant, with the Secretary as the Maitre D’.

The CIA is the back of the restaurant, the kitchen. The Director is the Chef.

The consulates are the wait staff. USAID are the food runners. The Dept of Defense are the bus boys.

The tables and chairs are assigned by the Maitre D’ according to their value. Countries viewed as more important get the best tables. The menus offered to each nation are completely different.

Israel has a table in the kitchen.

To get the best experience, tips (bribes) are required for everyone, from the parking valets outside, to the sommelier, to the server. Currently, Ukraine is the biggest tipper.

On the oversight aspect the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is the control mechanism to approve/install the Secretary of State.

The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence is the control mechanism to approve/install the CIA Director.

Everything therein and thereafter is a system of pretending it is something else.

Edit. Just a thought and something I noticed. Media outlets announced Trump's picks; Trump use Truth Social to make an announcement. If Trump has not confirmed or announced his picks on Truth Social, then would that mean don't believe the unconfirmed picks via media news outlets? In the meantime, I would hold off until when the Trump's confirmed picks come from him directly via his Truth Social page instead of what the media says.

Wow that’s weird. Secretary of State is like the most important position. Instead of tulsi or rfk jr, Trump went with Rubio?!

That's what Charlie Kirk is saying, too.

The Rubio news could be a trial balloon to see if the base would make an uproar like they have been with the Majority Leader race.

So far I haven't seen a super strong blowback to Rubio, just kind of mild disappointment, so absent further outrage, he may indeed wind up being the pick. Musk has been silent on this subject, much less outspoken than he has been about the Senate.

Senate Leader is ultimately more important than SoS, because without a leader who's allied with Trump, he's going to have trouble passing any of the legislation he wants. Plus, any funding for Ukraine or Israel does ultimately have to go through the Senate. Most of our problems are domestic, so fixing those would be my first priority. Still would be nice to have a MAGA, non-warhawk SoS.

 
This really is speculation. You hear one thing and another source comes up with the exact opposite. Trying to figure out which cog he will place in which position is irrelevant for the time being in comparison to what the American people can and should be doing in the meantime: resisting all globohomo edicts from schools for their children, and exposing the jews at every step to the normals.

I don't believe the Anderson press article until I see it confirmed by Trump.
