I haven't looked into all of Wilson's beliefs, but I'm in favor of making the US a Christian nation and of revoking the women's vote. It's awesome to see Hegseth openly supporting this. However, I suspect he will come under a lot of heat over this and may be forced to disavow at least some of this. Hopefully he knows the rule of thumb to never apologize to the media.

Edit: Wilson looks pretty solid to me. These news items about Hegseth are trying to make it seem like Wilson is some sort of fringe weirdo, but in fact he seems pretty well grounded and respected. He would probably fit in well on CiK.

I could really easily do that I do pull ups and push ups to warm up and cap off every workout. Now doing it at RFK's age and just a few seconds after Hegseth, that's impressive good for him!
 
Renaming the department of defense to the department of war



I like Hegseth but Honestly this is all more window dressing . Americans care about the economy and jobs and about the Epstein coverup.

I disagree. The Madison Avenue messaging of changing the Department of War into the Department of Defense makes it much easier to justify massive annual budget increases and spending. Its far more palatable to the public. War connotes aggression, imperialism, expansion when we're simply trying to protect, secure, and defend our nation. After all, who would want to scrimp and save on the DEFENSE of the United States?

Ironically, more foreign 'war' has been committed under the DoD than under the Department of War previous.

Perhaps using honest language and phraseology will culture people to have less appetite and more thought about funding WAR and focus instead on TRUE DEFENSE, i.e. territorial border security, maritime security, air and suborbital security, and the security of general American citizens and interests abroad along with the general security of the American continents

Unpopular public opinion - the US Coast Guard has saved more American lives and provides the greatest dollar-for-dollar value than the trillions we've spent on overseas expeditionary adventures in the past 75 years.
