Solo vacation....where should I go?

As much as California sucks, San Diego is a fun place to visit. Lots to do, and more walkable/not completely insane traffic like LA. Lots of nice neighborhoods and beaches to hang out at and relax. Or you can hike, surf, mountain bike, etc. And we all know the weather is perfect.

A week would actually be ideal there.

I've got an uncle out there really good people and have spent a bit of time out there, it's nice I like it lots of outdoorsy pretty things to do but looking for something more off the beaten path....

Ah ok. Then I'd go with the mountains in Mexico or Columbia. Not too hot in summer.

Don't know what KIND of vacation you are looking for. Are you more athletic, adventurous, or looking to lie on the beach for a week? Not too far from the US is Iceland, where it is common for people to go solo hiking, camping, and depending on where you go, you will be all alone. A warmer destination might be the Azores, also right in the middle of the Atlantic, so it's not as far as Europe. Both are quiet and safe destinations. My BIL used to go camping, hiking, fishing in the backwoods of Canada where he'd get flown in by boat plane and picked up a week later.

Its an Island in Greece, a monestary, many saints have lived here, people make pilgramages to this place, Roosh has been here, sounds like a nice place to go visit on a solo vacation, apparently no woman are allowed here.
Definitely no women allowed. Not even female cats or dogs. Take note that with rare exceptions, you can only get a 4-day visa to enter and stay on Athos, as it is an autonomous monastic republic.

Greece has lost most of it's appeal and mystique that it had when I was living there. I could tell you some special spots, especially in Crete, but even in the mid 90s the culture had suffered greatly from mass tourism. And now we have the migrant influx and Greece has been impacted badly from this.

If I were you I'd look closer to home for a peaceful holiday. The Americas must still have some lesser known idyls to spend a restful break in. Or, as suggested by Ski Pro, hire a Harley, throw some camping gear on the back and just do the back roads. Larp as easy rider for a couple weeks, maaann.

Thinking of going to several places- Thailand, New York City, Toronto, San Diego, Tokyo, and Italy are places I want to visit.

San Diego is a great place to visit. It was talked about earlier, but great weather, things to do outside, beach neighborhoods and downtown. It's nice because you can walk around in a lot of the neighborhoods too. Pretty relaxing atmosphere for a city.

New York is worth visiting, but overrated in my opinion. All the movies and tv shows make it seem like some magical place, but it's just another giant city with too many people. The food is good, and if you're into shows and art and stuff like that.

Toronto is pretty meh. Like a smaller, less interesting New York. Montreal and Quebec City would be better.
