September 11th Memorial Thread

Today is the 23rd Anniversary of 9/11. I searched for a thread and didn’t find anything so I thought we may as well start one. Those of us old enough to remember it can all recall where we were that day. I thought that we could share our thoughts and memories-and maybe offer some prayers-in memory of the victims. I’m including those who died that day as well as the first responders and others who later died of injuries and illnesses suffered as a result when I say victims.

Sadly, it’s very easy to forget as the years go by until the anniversary every year. While we shouldn’t spend our lives dwelling on it, we also shouldn’t ever let it be forgotten lest it become another December 7th/Pearl Harbor situation.

That day, I remember walking into the staff room at work after a long shift, and the footage of the planes flying into the towers was on TV. I asked, "What film are you watching?" My mind was blown.

Whatever the theories, just remember that given free reign, evil has no limits. Despite this, nothing can stop God's plan. Prayers to all involved.

I remember this; I was in college in Canada and had an 8:30 AM anthropology class on world religions. I was awoken @ 0700 by my alarm clock to Canada's CBC Radio: "This is a CBC special report...there has just been a credible terrorist attack on the United States...two planes have just been (((flown))) into the World Trade Center in New York City..." Got to school and our hippy-dippy prof, American David Wyatt, had cancelled class for that day. We were supposed to start a few classes on Islam. The next week, he said he'd cancelled the class out of fear of a backlash against Muslims. He of course was all about the whole "Islam is a religion of peace" bullshit. Yeah, peace is just breakin' out all over the Islamic world...

I was not yet red-pilled on the JQ or the depraved evils of Islam...but whomever started it, whether they be Heebs or Ay-rabs, they both hate Our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

And that is the biggest thing that irks me in Western right-wing politics; the faulty logic that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

Both creeds are wicked and cursed by God by any observable spiritual metric...I despise them both...
