I watched a two minute video of his announcement and thought the same. I'm not judging him, it seems he has no faith.

What are his considerations, from the clip the reasoning looks more like making a calculated wager on an event in complete absence of faith, not a watershed life changing moment- an epiphany, my eyes were opened, I thought I was dead and now I have life. I hope he has a change of heart and accepts God's grace in full before the curtain falls.

You do not challenge God. Let's see what happens, am I right about this, or is this God's story- these tales my Christian friends have been pestering me with- correct. Faith gives life, it's an inner fire that fills you with joy and hope, all pascal wager reasoning is discarded, it's not even a thought.

Maybe, true to his style, he's just trolling people by presenting serious subjects in a lighthearted way. I don't know what he's thinking, the way he talks about it- why not, it's free, nothing to lose. But there are other religions that promise you paradise, he's going with Jesus so I'm hopeful and prayers are warranted. It's best to depart this world as a Christian so he can't go wrong here.

I think we should be charitable.

Not all of us find God in our youth.

He's been a bit of a boomer about a lot of things...but I'm gonng to chose to give him the benefit of the doubt here as a man coming to grips with his imminent demise.

Probably true about him, looks like Jesus hadn't been on his mind until lately, he's not one of those obsessed with God atheist warriors like that guy from England who wakes up and falls asleep thinking about Christianity. Those guys are more preoccupied with our Lord than we, opposing Him is their religion, they put a lot of effort into "converting" others.

One cancer stricken left wing politician from Poland said all [read the majority of] communists have Catholic funerals and so he would too. The guy responsible for the martial law of 1980 also requested a confession on his deathbed. A Polish Catholic priest who serves in Russia recounted what the locals from Kuntsevo had told him about Stalin- when it dawned on him there would be no getting out of there alive, he asked for a priest and his confession lasted many hours, more than 3 iirc.

Going back to this reflection, it's impossible to avoid seeing and hearing about Jesus and Christian ideals in America, the very public abortion fight, the separation of Church and state question, all the televangelists and church buildings everywhere, maybe he was able to tune all of this out, that simulation thing- probably he had dismissed religion altogether.

I first read about him when he said Trump should win in 2016. Never paid any attention, but it's good to see he remembers about Jesus, God bless him, he will plant the seeds in others. Although I've seen my share of a-religious men clenching onto the cross when death comes knocking.
 
I have a few of his books and he has mentioned his religious background in his writings before. He was raised as a Methodist and went to church as a kid until he was the Jonah story which he found ridiculous and which led to him asking his mom to allow him stop to church which she agreed to. He mentioned he used to be a smug, argumentive atheist when he was young btu he out grew it. Beyond that, I'm not sure what he believed in though from what I gathered in his other writings he seemed to be a bit into New Age stuff.
 
He shouldnt have taken the covid injection. Better late than never though. But gamblers bet don´t cut it. He should go to a Church and kneel with honest and truthful humbleness and ask for help not for himself but for his children. Who will be left without a father.

If he had put is faith on God and not the orange conman he would´ve still be ok and with his family. How can that orange clown still parade himself after what he did. Incredible.
