Sam Hyde Thread

What happened to the boxing match with Hasan? The candyman needs to cleanse the Turkish heresy and avenge Constantinople.

Is a network carrying it?
I imagine it will be on his gun road page, or "alternative" methods once the new episodes start.

I'm a bit out of the loop but I think Hasan's cowardly approach of ignoring/banning any and all mention of Sam actually worked. Sam had the perfect pitch for the fight too, an opportunity for Hasan to actually punch a Nazi!!1 But the small headed fellow kept pretending he had no idea who the large headed fellow was and the latter grew tired of the chase.

I don't know, I think he'll always be remembered as the guy who chickened out of a fight against Sam. I don't think he'll ever live that one down. Of course the memes of him getting knocked out by Sam would have been amazing, but the ones of him being so scared as to ban his own fans from his chat for typing Sam's name are the next best thing.

It's very inspiring that they not only put their differences aside to come back together (and obviously really missed each other), but that Sammy figured out how to fund it via his superfans with no outside interference, even after basically banishing himself to his own internet ghetto.

That iDubbbz doc probably helped a lot, as did the boxing match and the streaming (and Nick carrying the comedy on his back for a solid year of podcasts and streams).

Is he married/with kids?
Check out the vid that Bitter End posted about the guys asking him questions regarding a wife and if you should choose person X, etc.

I think it's pretty clear that he realizes that unless you meet someone who clearly and obviously chooses you and makes your life better, and you see the match as good and beneficial to navigate life, don't bother. It doesn't seem like he's found that and/or trusts that it's very easy to find at all anymore, for very many people. I like the guy but it doesn't help that he looks like a slob pretty much every time I've seen him.

Why are there always young guys sitting next to him in his vids? I assumed they were his sons.

Nick Rochefort is way funnier (and knowledgeable) than Sam Hyde even though I appreciate Sam.

Can't wait for World Peace part deux!

Also those "kids" are mid 20's while Sam and Nick are late 30's so how someone can think they're their sons is beyond me. Nick also just had a second baby, good for him.

Here's a funny, and generally accurate take from Sam on Trad wife's.

I don't understand Hyde's appeal. He's always seemed Completely Online and his jokes are all riffs on whatever the current internet zeitgeist is. I guess that's the appeal.
