Thanks for posting this. I have a fascination with springs and wells. I've visited a number around where I live and for a while was only drinking water that came from a church well. I'll certainly read that article.

Great idea posting this. I've been following his substack for a few months now.

Sites like these are sorely missing in the US. It seems we may have had the beginnings of holy wells and springs at one time. Near me there are places that still bear the names that have their beginnings in holy areas. Places where baptists baptized people from nearby towns and places where prominent preachers roamed. But every one I'm aware of have been commercialized and either turned into complete entertainment areas or some kind of recreation site. Our Christian sense is so thin here in the States.
