They already live like that. So no change for them. The slums in Spain had normal life. They were better than the rest.
Pedro Sanchez is pointing the finger to private contractors connected to the electricity network. The official narrative is the event happened in Extremadura west part of Spain. And is related to two solar plants. Some say it was simply a cloud. But until now nobody says what was the trigger. The companies have been slow and reluctant in giving info to the government. Supposedly the private electric companies have black boxes like in planes and Sanchez is asking for them. Most likely this was foul play (sabotage) or simply a f up from one of the private electric companies.
The european network automatically disconnected itself from the spanish. But they still had minor disruptions. Greenland have they´re satelite equipment in Spain. Spain and Portugal are used as backup data places for a lot of European public and private institutions. Cause they are considered safe.
There are some reports Sanchez is increasing his security detail. Spanish want to hang him.
Wild conspiracy theories about what happened:
Large parts of Spain and Portugal - including Madrid and Lisbon - have been hit by a power outage. - News Burst 29 April 2025 - Get The News!

A little birdie told a tale that the point of origin for the blackout possibly originated at a high-voltage substation in the Basque region of northern Spain, specifically near Bilbao, at the Elorrio substation operated by Red Eléctrica, Spain’s national grid operator. The potential method of the sabotage was a sophisticated cyberattack targeted the substation’s SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system, injecting malware that overloaded transformers and triggered a cascading failure across the European grid. The malware exploited a known vulnerability in Siemens S7-1200 PLCs, which Red Eléctrica uses for grid automation (Siemens Security Advisory SS, 2022). Simultaneously, a small explosive device equivalent to 2 kg of C4 was detonated at the Girona substation, severing key transformers. The explosion was timed to coincide with the cyberattack, ensuring the grid couldn’t reroute power. No casualties were reported, but the substation was disabled, triggering the cascade mentions no cause, which suggest a possible cover-up. A report stated that it was a covert team of five operatives executed the attack. Three were on-site in Girona two men and one woman, dressed as maintenance workers, planting the explosive. The other two, operating remotely from a safehouse in Marseille, France, launched the cyberattack. The team used encrypted comms, speaking in a mix of Russian and French, indicating a multinational operation. Their gear military-grade, including night-vision goggles and signal jammers suggests state-level backing.
Also some talk about an EMP weapon used.
Some russians hackers supposedly also took credit for the hack. But it´s all speculation. Cause if anyone had done this it would be Ukrainians and Israelis. And also maybe France. Macron is not happy with US/Russia division of Ukraine assets after all the money invested by EU. Trump is aslo a diplomatic disaster. And this could support the ongoing retarded support of Ukraine.
There was also a cyberattack against Iran on sunday. And the sms to the catalans. Which could indicate the hacking was already progressing. But who knows. I´ve been having bad reception since the beginning of last week. My wife also. I´m still having while I write this. And before was the same.
The judge has made the investigation classified. It´s now considered a state secret.
Spain didn´t restart it´s energy with blackstart. It was through transfer of energy from France and Morocco. Portugal seems to have used the blackstart and today has asked the EU to start spending more in defense.
Why were all the nuclear plants in Spain offline? It´s also strange. And why didn´t stops to the blackout happened containing the spread. They say it was a drop superior to 60% and the system couldn´t handle it. But who knows. There were similar blackouts in other countries in the past.
I know a guy connected to a chamber who would probably know what happened. Will text him. But I doubt he will reply since I havent spoken to him for a while. Will try regardless.
Anedoctes from all this shit:
1. The houses in Spain and Portugal with solar panels which were connected to the grid also had no power. Ahahahaha. I knew it would be stupid to connect any solar panels to the official grid. People do it to sell energy back to the network. But the government is always filth so imagine the face of people with solar panels. And not being able to use them. When I had budgets from the solar companies I told them I wanted them compleltely off official grid. This is not allowed. But I will do it anyway. I wanted also separate batteries. And at least solar energy and a generator for the kitchen. And one outlet in each division with a different solar panel and batery for each one. The companies said it was possible but really expensive.
Spanish are talking about this equipment to disconnect from the official grid. Looll.

2. While I was going for a walk during the blackout. The city cleaning people were still working. Read this in another forum. And it´s true. Saw a black dude with a broom. And almost gave him a shout: You are still working with all this shit? They didn´t sent you home?
But they made it to calm people down.
3. All government buildings hospitals etc didn´t have enough gasoline for generators. Some didnt even had generators. And the hospitals didn´t shutdown in a matter of hours. Potentially killing thousands. Airports, maternities etc,
4. Food was served in paper/plastic cutlery to send them to trash. In order to save water. Schools, government agencies etc. are doing simulations of more attacks. There´s something which happened last year. Which made me think something like this would happen. And my wife as usual remembered it. My oldest kid also. Don´t know if it was broken clock is right two times...
5. There are still areas without water. The pumps are destroyed. And it will take some time to replace them.
6. Portugal decided not to connect to Spain electricity. Even though it´s already possible.
Another wild speculation is they rebooted the system to install something there.
