John Mcaffe was quite an interesting guy, after paying over $50 million dollars in taxes he refused to pay anymore taxes as he said he hadnt received $50 million back in services, he wrote a letter to the IRS every year saying he wasnt going to pay anything, they know where he lives they must come and get him🤣

He didnt live the most righteous lifestyle he drank a bottle whiskey and smoked 2 packs of cigs every single day for over 20 years, he built a drug lab in central America, married a prostitute, been in 11 different jails in 9 different countries etc etc.

He ripped off Bill Gates by over charging him for his anti virus software that he created Mcaffe by quite a few millions which he publically admits and laughs about, he also ran for president once but was too drunk and stoned to make the debates.

He was also a big fan on the blockchain system and was into crypto currencies and was also a hacker, he doesnt own a bank account or use cash he is off the grid, take the guy with a pinch of salt when listening to the interview.

This was a good read -

Some very wild stuff in there, freedom loving and tax hating ;)

I always found it interesting how he lived without a bank account or cash, only used crypto currencies to live and do business, a pity more people didnt interview him regarding this topic.

Here he is talking about bitcoin

There was a good documentary on Netflix made by a journalist that was living and running with John near the end before his arrest. The journo bailed when John was waving a revolver around and firing it on their sailboat.
At the end of the video Johns South American girlfriend, who he was with at the time of his arrest, said that he had called her after his official death, asking her to run away with him. I believed her.

He stopped liking Bitcoin.

WARNING! Lot's of screaming and vulgar language. Play at low volume. But to be fair to John, the interviewer is a doofus.

An interview with his widow.

So only heard the first one, well its 2024 and bitcoin is not $0 and John is dead, Im still a newbie but even the interviewer was receiving bitcoin for consultations, as @chancevought shared recently you can do annonymous bitcoin transactions using robosats it uses some AI generated little robot character to create an invoice and its a new unique character every time, I agree with the guy that Bitcoin is a store of value and on ky bitcoin app it shows all the places where I can spend my bitcoin with vouchers and It can be used on many many places I can even buy KFC with it and my groceries, I also have the option of cashing out my bitcoin into my account or withdrawing it in cash at ATMs in many places all over the world then spending that cash privately as John explained you cant do that with his privacu coin Im not saying his coin is bad you could probably use both if you like. Also even if someone can see what I have on bitcoin thats all they can do is see it, the government cant take it. Yes I put my address on it but guess what Im gonna move house soon and they wont have my new address but my account will still be active of just put any address.

So to give John another example of who uses bitcoin, El Salvador its their legal tender you can trade with it, there are also other billionaires who use bitcoin today.

Guy was/is legit whatever you wanna call him, I remember him saying he used (uses) AVG instead of McAfee as his (anti?) virus software lol.
It would have been pretty cool if he had actually made it to the presidential debates would have been funny, he said he couldnt make it because he was too drunk, oh well

He's just pointing out the issues with the Bitcoin community treating like an asset rather than an actual currency, I think that video was made before El Salvador's Bitcoin ruling. Even then, Bitcoin still has other types of flaws technologically speaking and it's devs still don't want fix on the base layer, rather they just put it on a separate application.

These videos explain in detail why Bitcoin isn't exactly what you think it is aside from the privacy aspect (I highly recommend you at least watch the first video):

I will have a look at it with time, im currently listening to the Michael Saylor series that @Chancevought recommended and its really good, the store of value is a big topic on the series, they explain that its the digital version of gold and unlike fiat currencies that governments print you cant do that with Bitcoin and obviously its not centralised so governments cant confiscate whats in your account

Iv heard about Monero, I dont know too much about it yet and how it works besides that its very private, Im not against it.

One thing I want to point out about Bitcoin is that we know this so called person or persons called Satoshi started it and that he has a few billion dollars worth of bitcoin but nobody knows what he looks like, we dont know his home address nobody is knocking on his door and as far as Im aware nobody has been able to close his account down or take his money even though the amount of Bitcoin he has can be viewed by everyone, the upside to this is that we know who owns that bitcoin, that it wasnt fraudulently aquired by some cheating method, this does give this system value and creates trust between the users, I will check Monero out I slowly watching the videos.

Yeah I'm just pointing out things I see with Bitcoin as a tech-bloke. I'm not against the idea of what Bitcoin is, and John McAfee would say the same I'm sure.
