Another typical weak argument that Muslims use is the numbers=truth game. All the debates from the last few years have clearly shown Islam is a fake ideology and these guys always have to reach for lie-full hooks.
Iv also noticed that in Christian nations they dont ban the Koran and will allow debates with Muslims but in sharia law Islamic countries you not allowed as a Christian to try and evangelize Muslims and the Bible is also sometimes banned, surely if they have the truth why are they afraid to debate and engage with Christians? Why censor the Bible? All the debates from the last few years have clearly shown Islam is a fake ideology and these guys always have to reach for lie-full hooks.
Well if thats their logic then since the Virgin Mary is mentioned more times than Mohammads mother then it means Christ is superior (according to their number games), I heard the Theotokos is THE most mentioned woman in the KoranAnother typical weak argument that Muslims use is the numbers=truth game.
"The Koran mentions the Virgin Mary (Mariam) more times than the Bible, so the Koran is more true."
"Islam is growing faster than Christianity (not necessarily true), so it must be the truth."
"Islam allows you to have as many as 4 wives, so it is better."
etc.
It's always a stupid schoolyard competition when trying to discuss Christianity vs. Islam with Muslims. It's never about Truth or spiritual growth, or anything transcendent, sublime, ineffable, or dealing with ultimate questions. It's just low-grade low-IQ "gotcha" quips.
I started a thread on Christianity in Iran a while back:
Was thinking about posting this in the Iran thread but that seems to be more geopolitical and I thought this was worthy of it's own thread
Something I'm watching right now:
Goes over the history of Persia and mentions it's connection with the Old Testament, how Iran was become Muslim, the Shah and the Islamic Revolution and how it affects faith today
Second part is about Christians in Iran

Happy to see these developments but something to keep in mind is there's a good portion of these Iranians leaving Islam are becoming secular rather than converting to Christianity.
According to this headline its not only the mosques closing down but conversion to Christianity also rising, yes Im sure secular Iranians are also rising I dont deny that, apparently its happening in Turkey where they are leaving the faith, my only concern is that these conversions to Christianity need to be towards authentic Christianity or else they will also leave Christianity, last thing I want to see are these large happy clappy mega churches with disco lights popping up.Or going back to their heathen fire-worshipping. Whatever the case, while I'm happy to hear that 50,000 evil dens of blasphemy have closed, I won't hold my breath that their congregants have professed that Christ is King...
Haha, do you have many of these in SA? I've been to a few in Canada; they're really something else. Fortunately not as common as in the USA.large happy clappy mega churches with disco lights
Yes we have many of them in South Africa, MANYHaha, do you have many of these in SA? I've been to a few in Canada; they're really something else. Fortunately not as common as in the USA.
Do you this the Islamic leadership of Iran will fall anytime soon? What will replace it if it does? One still cannot visit the country with a Bible or a Crucifix or a Rosary. These are not allowed anywhere in public, and God help you if you are a traveler hiding one in your luggage and get randomly searched. It is against the Islamic law there to carry these items with you. I don't know how many Christians will flourish if they are unable to do this. The Islamic Regime supposedly gave some leeway to the Armenian quarter, allowing them to have their Orthodox Churches but only in a certain area. The country's original Zoroastrian majority was run down by Islam, the last Shah's brief pro-western interlude was a bit of a rarity that was not seen since before Islam ever entered the Orient (greater Persia). His father's will, had WW2 gone a different way, would have been a combination of a racial ideology blended with Shia Islam in alliance with the greater German Reich. Although this did not happen, many pure Aryan Persians still believe it and practice it in their daily lives. They look down on everyone except for certain Whites. Make no mistake, their dalliances with Russia and China are merely diplomatic and not a sign of some kind of Christian revival amongst these three countries. Their secularisms still mean more to all three than does a center around Christ.
How it will go now in the days of jewish nepotism being everywhere will depend on the uneasy balance between intelligent Muslims and Christians who recognize the jews for what they are and what they are going to do about it. If this regime is so great why is the country suffering economically? Most of the Persian jews live in Los Angeles, they are not troublesome inside the country anymore. Iran doesn't have a Rothschild bank, they don't have immense amounts of jews inside the country, they should be flourishing off of the productivity of the Iranian people just like how Hitler did with German hands. I don't believe Islam can achieve this because it is essentially a jewish knockoff, Nestorian or not.
The true Persians hate this regime but hate it less than the jews who are trying to destroy them entirely. Out of all the Muslim countries in the world, this one still is the most civilized, and that's not saying much. Persians are not Arabs, and they are a very racially conscious people. It is reflected in the faith too. Many Persian Christians are northerners, who are generally Whiter from the Gilan province.
I also wonder how many of the other citizens are still actually Muslim or just pretending to be Muslims so they dont get into trouble? There might actually be a lot less Muslims in Iran than we are aware of, maybe.Christians are still and vastly outnumbered and if the government considered Christianity a real threat, they could simply exterminate them.
If Christians can become a 30% minority, things could get interesting. That said, everything has to start somewhere.
This seems to be the case in Turkey, as well. I've heard that as many as 1/3 of Turks are secretly Christians, but outwardly pretend to be non-practicing Muslims or just go through the motions. Only God knows for sure. I do know that Turks will often visit Orthodox Christian churches to seek healing or pray to the Saints for sick relatives.I also wonder how many of the other citizens are still actually Muslim or just pretending to be Muslims so they dont get into trouble? There might actually be a lot less Muslims in Iran than we are aware of, maybe.
