Yeah they've been blasting pornography and all manners of depravity into everyone's faces for decades, suddenly now they have a crisis of conscience? Suddenly they care about your well being.
I think this is a good sign. It shows they are worried. I don't think it will work like they're hoping it does...
First, they waited too long, now too many people know. There's no putting that genie back in the bottle. Second, this might work on low IQ people, but not smart people who know how to navigate around whatever system that will be designed by incompetent people. Third, it will draw more attention to what they're trying to hide from people.
This is a desperation move, and it will fail.

Pretty obvious that the protection of children is a psyop to promote this digital id. As pointed out by Mountainaire they have never cared about children before what with porn and abortion been their top priorities
