I am shocked this hasn't been commented on here yet.

Backstory is that he's the KC Chiefs kicker, a Trad Catholic, and he just did the commencement speech at Benedictine College. Liberal voices bashing him for his take on women in the household. Told the women graduates they should strive to be homemakers. Haven't seen anything like this in some time.

I listen to Timothy Gordon also, whom is friends with Butker. Apparently he had no clue this speech would set off the response from the public that it did.

The Super Bowl champ and kicker spoke about the dignity of life, masculinity, and the most important role of all: motherhood.

Demand the Kansas City Chiefs to Dismiss Harrison Butker for Discriminatory Remarks​

Why this petition matters

The harmful remarks made by Harrison Butker, kicker of the Kansas City Chiefs, during his commencement address at Benedictine College were unacceptable. His comments were sexist, homophobic, anti-trans, anti-abortion and racist. These dehumanizing remarks against LGBTQ+ individuals, attacks on abortion rights and racial discrimination perpetuate division and undermine human rights.

These comments reinforce harmful stereotypes that threaten social progress. They create a toxic environment that hinders our collective efforts towards equality, diversity and inclusion in society. It is unacceptable for such a public figure to use their platform to foster harm rather than unity.

It's important to note that these types of discriminatory attitudes contribute significantly towards societal issues such as hate crimes which have been on the rise in recent years (source: FBI Hate Crime Statistics). Furthermore, they can lead to increased mental health issues among targeted communities (source: American Psychological Association).

We demand accountability from our sports figures who should be role models promoting respect for all people regardless of their race, gender identity or sexual orientation. We call upon the Kansas City Chiefs management to dismiss Harrison Butker immediately for his inappropriate conduct.

Could be a good sign. The powers that be maybe wouldn't have reacted so crazy unless they sense there is some kind of movement and draw behind it.

It's so interesting to watch these news cycles. Sometimes their tactic is to just ignore. There is so much out there that they do just that: ignore. Ignore so that the general population doesn't even believe some event is happening. They only pounce on a news story when they can make themselves look like a victim.

And maybe that's it. They believe they can safely hide behind the victim card on this one. It's getting close to overplaying their hand though.
