And this guy (Orban) is meant to be anti Soros? Is that all just a smokeshow? Or is it the whole Orthodox/Reform Jew divide that people keep talking about?
Jews will always be for themselves but may align with others to achieve their aims. Communist Jews like Soros probably are agnostic about Israel, it may be good to keep it, but not a deal breaker, their International network survives.
As a side story- in the 60s, the madly anti-Zionist party secretary
Gomulka in Poland, had a Jewish communist wife (an open state secret, but the people knew through word of mouth), both atheists and enemies of the Catholic Church, he was crude and base- an old school commie with socialist ideals as his god, and capitalism and later also Fascism as his Satan. Wholesale theft of the society's potential that socialism is, and actual theft/nationalization was alright with them.
She was cultured and 'based' (I prefer normal)- as the TV and radio commissioner she saw kissing as too obscene for movies, and fought vulgarities wherever she could. Refined language, proper manners were her idea of what the media should be about. At the same time, her husband, himself severely bald, would publicly call the
prime minister "that bald dick*" (a Polish word up there with fu*k, on the scale of offensiveness, identical to the Russian 'khuy').
"It's as if you cut a dude's balls off, and handed it back to him- there, it's still yours"- was his reply to the suggestion that collectivized farmland would still be the individual farmer's property. But kulaks were still oppressed and forced to give the government a lot of their farm output for free.
He would also always quantify and reassure the public that antizionism was not antisemitism.
He was completely losing it during the six days' war, screaming about Zionists on TV.
