I walked my dog alone for the first time yesterday. By that I really mean picking up his stuff and really staying the path with my hands on the leash, and of course doing it alone. Yeah, I'm a bit old for it, but at the same time, it's better late than never. Not that old..
Thought making this thread would be a good idea after that, even if I am publicizing something mildly embarassing. So share advice, tips, suggestions, etc. about taking care of dogs.
To start off the thread I'd like to remind everyone to get a harness instead of a leash. My dog goes ham when he walks, so pulling on his throat constantly is not a good idea at all. There is good evidence it can cause problems with breathing and or the throat.
