Two weeks ago I was hungry and my girlfriend asked if I wanted a sandwich. I said “yes” and she made me a sandwich.
There's this lifelong female friend of mine whom I care about a lot. She was a raging feminist up until not too long ago. Recently, we had a heart to heart, and she told me that she just wanted to feel accepted by her peers, but she still was not, even after pledging allegiance to feminism. She is very tomboyish, and she is autistic, so other women have always been quite awful to her. That was the case when we were children, and it's still the case now. She told me she wishes she could have faith in God like mine. It was actually surprising to me that she saw me as a good Christian and even admirable, as she has seen some really bad behavior from me.
She has been slowly freeing herself from feminism. Recently, my parish priest told me that she had contacted him and had been asking him questions about the faith. She is very clearly trying and struggling to wrap her head around things like homosexuality being bad. Please pray for her, that God may lead her down the right path. I do not feel comfortable giving her advice or telling her what to do, as her disposition is such that attempting to do so will almost definitely just massively piss her off, and my oratory abilities are quite terrible in any case. There's not much I can do for her other than be there for her and pray.
