This is exceptional! In Major League Baseball, there has only been one game in history with three grand slams by the same team, not the same player. I'm amazed this is actually the second time a single player has had three in college baseball. The last was 50 years ago!
Let's just enjoy the gold medal. That was a historic win, legendary performance by the goalie and the US did it over their biggest rival. I wasn't paying much attention to the Olympics but international hockey is one of the greatest sporting events when NHL players are allowed to play. The bread and circuses are ok every once in a while.
My only complaint is Russia should have been there. Hockey isn't quite the same without them.

did the canucks have any nons/foreigners playing on their team? i tend not to care about politics whether I am watching the olympics or the world cup, but i always support nationalistic outfits e.g.: teams whose rosters are composed entirely of players who really represent their country.
