That's what a hard evasive carrier turn looks like:

The old Admiral Nelson adage of "A Ship’s A Fool To Fight A Fort" comes to mind here.

8 people killed as a result of third party twitter post...

"A Dutch open-source intelligence (OSINT) account on X (VleckieHond) falsely identified a civilian quarry in Yemen as a Houthi underground missile base. Relying on this misinformation, the US military conducted an airstrike, which tragically killed eight civilians, including children.

The mistake quickly drew backlash. After the civilian casualties were confirmed, the OSINT account deleted the original posts, issued a public apology, and reportedly donated money to charity in an effort to make amends."

In an update, Magen David Adom says eight people were hurt in the Houthi missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport.
They include a man in his 50s in light-to-moderate condition with trauma to his extremities and two women, aged 54 and 38 in good condition who were hit by the shockwave. A man, 64, was lightly hurt after he was hit by an object which flew from the impact site, and two more women, aged 22 and 34, were lightly hurt while running for shelter, MDA says. Another two people were treated for acute anxiety.

Do they have new technology or are they just talking tough. I guess we will find out soon.

Reportedly, they launched 27 ballistic missiles and unknown number of drones, since Israel resumed fighting in Gaza (March 18) and this was the first missile to land near the airport, which forced several airlines to suspend their flights for one day. It will take much more to force airlines to permanently suspend their operations and shut down the airport - consistency is the key. Just like with attacks on shipping.
Deputy Chief of the AnsarAllah (Houthi) authority, Nasurddin Amer @Nasr_Amer1 , addressed criticism of their air blockade on Israel, recalling similar doubts during the naval blockade on the Port of Eilat.
“Many mocked us then and said it was impossible, but we put our trust in God—and the port was eventually shut down and remains abandoned to this day. The same applies now with the air embargo on the Zionist entity [Israel]. We trust in God and will continue the siege. Our success comes only by His will.”

Yep, I guess the question is, was this just a lucky shot by the Houthis, or did they find a hole in the defense systems and are now ready to exploit it. We will find out.

Videos of the Mazut (Heavy oil) tanks burning at the Bajil Cement Factory
There is growing anger in Yemen tonight - even among those who oppose the Houthi regime - as many believe that Israeli strikes on infrastructure like the port and the cement factory constitute collective punishment. Critics argue that these attacks do not directly harm the Houthis and suggest that Israel’s inability to target Houthi leadership may reflect a failure or lack of actionable intelligence.

And today Israel ordered Yemenis to evacuate Sanaa international airport and bagan to bomb it.

Ha Ha! Yemeni's are upset that the Israelis respond to a missile attack on the Tel Aviv airport by attacking Yemeni infrastructure. As if the Tel Aviv airport isn't infrastructure.

Even if you disagree with the Israeli actions in Gaza, and you think it is Yemen's duty to take military action in response, this is a pretty hot take! It's obvious that Yemeni attacks on Israeli will result in Israeli attacks on Yemen.

Iran and the Houthi's best play is the long game. Just keep Israel occupied and distracted. Israel has issues with Turkey and Hamas. Keep Israel off balanced, let the US commit suicide by third world immigration, and wait another 5 to 10 years and then go for the knockout.

US can´t win against Iran. Iraq costed 8 Trillion dollars. And it will continue to balloon with vet care. Can you imagine how much would iran war cost? 16-20 trillion? If it doesnt develop into WWIII.

How can Trump be applying tariffs on asian goods. And at the same time bombing Yemen? Since the strait is where all the asian imported goods pass? In a logical sense allowing Houthis to disrupt that strait would follow it´s strategy. Europe would lose some exports. But imports would be gone.

We lived without asian shit for a long time.

The real reason. Contrary to Vance argument that Trump was bombing for Europe. Is Israel. Hopefully it continues like this has a proxy war in Yemen. Let Houthis disrupt the chinese shit. But I doubt jews will let pass an opportunity to have Trump in the WH and not take action against Iran. Which will mean the demise of the american empire. That should happen in 2025. So a bigger war will probably happen.

The United States militarily defeated Iraq in a matter of days, maybe a couple of weeks.

VIrtually all of the casualties were during the ensuing occupation as the result of the insurgents utilizing guerrilla warfare, the use of IEDs, etc.

I do not believe Iran would be much different in that the US military would decimate the country's military and strategic infrastructure in a very short time, and then seize control of Tehran.

The question is what then? If the US tried to occupy Iran for years or decades on end the cost in dollars and lives lost would be astronomical.
