Donald Trump

Last week at football World Cup draw Trump finally received his peace prize, the FIFA Peace Prize Award. DJT was the only candidate and the decision was unilaterally taken by FIFA head and long term buddy Gianni Infantino. Prize didn't exist before last week and was solely created to stroke Don's ego.

Congratulations to DJT!

Unfortunately guys, it doesn't look like she resigned, I stand corrected.

Her Vanity Fair interview came out where she accused Trump of among other things having "an alcoholic personality" and also ripped into Musk and criticized Vance, so some people on X assumed she was resigning. Turns out she isn't.

Interesting take

Trump has an alcoholic’s personality” is a perceptive statement and not at all an insult. If you look at the phenotype that performs better than anyone else in extreme situations…hunters, warriors, fighter pilots, EMTs, etc…they have the variant of the COMT gene that drives rapid clearance of excess dopamine in the prefrontal cortex. These people perform better and are calmer under pressure. But because their brains are eating dopamine 4x faster than a normal person, they are prone to boredom when the pressure is off. In a classroom, a kid with this gene looks like they have an attention deficit because they are bored. In a crisis, they turn into a high performance machine. It’s why I’ve long argued that ADHD isn’t a disease or disorder, but an important personality type without which you can’t have a society. This gene is a root cause for a lot of alcoholics because alcohol consumption initially spikes dopamine, but because the dopamine is rapidly cleared they drink more and more to chase that feeling. You see how bored Trump gets in normal mundane situations, and how lively he becomes in high stakes situations — this is why his best media appearances are always with journalists who are out to get him, or why he jumped up after getting shot to pump his fist in the air. There is an incredible amount of alpha in being a teetotaler with the wiring of an alcoholic.

Today, I recognize every American celebrating December 8 as a Holy Day honoring the faith, humility, and love of Mary, mother of Jesus and one of the greatest figures in the Bible.

In one of the most profound and consequential acts of history, Mary heroically accepted God’s will with trust and humility: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Mary’s decision forever altered the course of humanity. Nine months later, God became man when Mary gave birth to a son, Jesus, who would go on to offer his life on the Cross for the redemption of sins and the salvation of the world.
